Sallām bin Abī Muṭīʿ stated that he would rather meet Allāh with the scroll of al-Ḥajjāj than with the scroll of ʿAmr bin ʿUbayd, who is the head of the sect of the Muʿtazilah.
The Salaf used to seek knowledge for the sake of Allāh, and they were ennobled and then became Imāms of Guidance, by whom the people guided themselves.
The negation of al-Qadar and the claim that affairs take place within Allah's creation that are outside of His knowledge, will and creative power was not known to the Pagan Arabs.
