Shaykh Rabīʿ bin Hādī (حفظه الله) said:[1]
Many Salafīs know the truth, but they give it up very easily, yet those (Ḥizbīs), they know falsehood and they bite onto it with their molars. It is very difficult to tear him away from his falsehood. Yet, many Salafīs are weak and give up the truth, which is unfortunate. And we ask Allāh (تبارك وتعالى) to prepare a right path (of guidance) for this nation, for this (weakness of many Salafīs) is a very bad warning sign, that the people of falsehood cling to their falsehood and die for it, and they cling to the way of ‘I am only from Ghaziyyah’, as I have said to you. You find the Salafīs abandoning their principle(s) of truth, very sadly. This is what I am able to say about this question and the wise man suffices with a hint, as is said.
From the strange affairs is that the Jews hold on to what they are upon of altered, abrogated religion and the Christians likewise, such as the evangelists, and similarly, the deviant sects, in all their types, those who are upon falsehood, they hold on to their falsehood with such steadfastness that they are prepared to traverse the land, sea and air, the valleys and rivers, the mountains and oceans, through thick and thin, all upon the principle of ‘I am only from Ghaziyyah’, a line of poetry indicating total, unwavering allegiance and party loyalty, irrespective of whether it is guidance or misguidance. This indicates their complete and total commitment to their cause.
Sadly, many of those who have the truth do not have the same commitment and strength and are easily led to give up on the truth that they know, not being steadfast and not biting onto it with the molars, as they have been commanded. This shows that they are easily swayed by events, circumstances or personal interests and that truth does not hold a position in their hearts in the way that falsehood has a position in the hearts of many of the people of innovation and misguidance. A sad reality pointed out by Shaykh Rabīʿ bin Hādī (حفظه الله), we ask Allāh for strength and firmness.
