Many amongst them love the unbelievers from the innermost part of their hearts more so than they their love for the Muslims. Hence, when the disbelieving [Mongol] Turks appeared from the direction of the East, fought the Muslims and spilled their blood in the lands of Khurasān, ʿIrāq, Shām, the Arabian peninsula and elsewhere, the Rāfiḍah aided them in fighting against the Muslims. The Minister of Bagdhad known as al-ʿAlqamī and his likes were the greatest of people in giving them aid against the Muslims. Likewise, those from the Rāfiḍah who were in Shām, in Aleppo and other places were the most severe of people in support of them in their fight against the Muslims. Likewise, the Christians whom the Muslims fought in Shām, the Rāfiḍah were their greatest helpers. Likewise, when the Jews have a state inʿIrāq and elsewhere, the Rāfiḍah are their greatest helpers. Thus, they are always allying with the unbelievers amongst the polytheists, Jews and Christians and aiding them in fighting the Muslims and showing enmity to them.
